About Us

Our Mission

To fight the disease of addiction in our community through pragmatic integrated efforts that span the pillars of education, awareness; prevention and outreach, and support and recovery.

TAC addresses the disease of addiction by supporting proactive prevention and intervention strategies and by providing resources and support for community members across all phases of recovery.

Our Story

TAC is a nonprofit 501c(3) that is fully supported and recognized By the Thurmont Mayor and Commissioners.

​

TAC outreach includes: information tables at local events including the Thurmont Business Expo, Thurmont Farmers Market, National Night Out, Community Show, Colorfest, Fireman's Parade. TAC organizes National Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st, National Recovery Month in September, and A Night of Remembrance in December. Additional events include hosting community education programs, Narcan Trainings, and Scholarships for CHS Seniors.
